This web site (www.stimuluswatch.org) contains an incomplete list of "shovel-ready" projects the mayors of various states submitted for the 2008 U.S. Conference of Mayors report.  These projects were identified by local governments as meeting the funding definition contained in the pending stimulus legislation at that time.  Accordingly, many are unfunded or local communities may not be identified.  However, it will give you an idea of how many and what types of projects local governments were contemplating.

You can click on a proposed project to read its description then contact the local government authority to see if it is still planned as part of the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act of 2009.  For a local view, you can drill down to projects in a particular city or by “project type.”
