Entrepreneurs play a major role in the development of the United States economy. Therefore it is imperative for entrepreneurs to have the ability to analyze and understand the complexity of today’s financial services market.

  • Mymoney.gov is the federal government website dedicated to teaching all Americans the basics about financial education.  Providing news releases on financial scams, tools and resources, advice for specific fields of finance and a reference guide for the financially challenged.
  • The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants provides entrepreneurs with resources and assistance from accountants; including business start up basics and a financial literacy program.
  • 360 Degrees of Financial Literacy provides small business owners with recent news affecting small businesses and financial education.  As well as detailed information on retirement, insurance, starting a business, selling a business, women in business, hiring employees, and tax information.
  • The American Bankers Association allows entrepreneurs to explore different ideas and advice from the banks that loan them money.  Having a bank’s perspective of financial literacy allows small businesses to thrive even more.  With special video tutorials, brochures, and news updates small businesses can stay on track.
  • The IRS provides small businesses with the information needed for an organization to file taxes correctly.  Including information specific to starting, operating and closing a business.
