Youth/Young Adults

The understanding of money and how to manage it is a skill that children and young adults are required to have in order to successfully avoid situations that may be financially destructive.

  • Jump$tart Coalition for Financial Literacy targets financial literacy at a young age.  This organization wishes to incorporate different levels of financial education throughout children’s years of education.
  • Money Math is a curriculum supplement launched by a diverse partnership of private companies, nonprofit organizations, and the Treasury Department for students in grades 7-9 that addresses mathematical concepts using real-world financial scenarios.
  • Money Smart for Young Adults is a curriculum that helps youth ages 12-20 learn the basics of handling their money and finances, including how to create positive relationships with financial institutions.
